Higher Level Teaching Assistant (EYFS)
Bousfield Primary School is a vibrant, dynamic and happy community school in the heart of Inner London. We are introducing an exciting new role for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within our dedicated Early Years setting. As our EY HLTA, you will bring a deep understanding of the vital role early communication and foundational knowledge play in a child's development. This varied position also involves supporting the wider school community by providing short-term class cover for staff absence or meetings. We are looking for a positive, adaptable, and calm professional who is genuinely committed to inclusive education. The ideal candidate will thrive in an Early Years environment, possess exceptional organisational skills, and communicate with
both clarity and sensitivity. This role would be ideal for someone looking to grow professionally and advance their career.

Hours: 8.30am – 4.00pm

Bousfield Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Inclusion and SEND) to join our dedicated team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner to play a key role in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities whilst contributing to the continued development of inclusive practice across the school.
Working closely with the SENCO, teachers and support staff, you will support pupils within the classroom, deliver targeted interventions, provide occasional class cover and help implement projects and initiatives designed to improve outcomes for children with SEND.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold HLTA status or have equivalent experience.
- Have substantial experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary school.
- Be committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Work effectively with teachers, support staff, families and external agencies.
- Be proactive, flexible and solution-focused.
The role will include:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in class and through targeted interventions.
- Working alongside Learning Support Assistants to ensure effective provision.
- Delivering planned intervention programmes.
- Providing occasional whole-class cover.
- Supporting the SENCO with the implementation of SEND initiatives and projects.
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress.
- Contributing to the development of inclusive practice across the school.
