Year Groups

At Bousfield, we have a single-form Nursery and two classes in each year group from Reception through to Year 6. Our classes are named after two much-loved local author-illustrators, Beatrix Potter and Quentin Blake, reflecting our strong commitment to literature and creativity.

Class groups are mixed at the end of Reception, Year 2, and Year 4, in advance of the next academic year. This ensures pupils remain in their new class groups going forward, helping them to widen friendships, build social confidence, and keep classes balanced as they grow.
