Visiting our school
There are a number of open mornings for prospective parents throughout the year where the headteacher will present on the school's vision and ethos, followed by a tour of the school. Please contact the school office to book a place for one of the sessions below. Sessions are for adults only, begin promptly at 9.30am and last for about an hour:

Nursery Class Admissions
Children are admitted to the Nursery Class in the September following their third birthday, and in accordance with the guidelines set out by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
The Nursery currently has places for up to 30 children. Please email us if you wish to apply and we will guide you through the process.
If there are more applications than places available, the following oversubscription criteria apply:
1. Children in Public Care, also known as 'Looked after Children' in care of the local authority and children who have been adopted.
2. Children whose parent is a qualified teacher at the school.
3. Children who have brothers and sisters already on the school roll in the school.
4. Children living closest to the school. Distance will be measured 'as the crow flies.'
Applications for entry in September 2024 should be received by 28th March 2024.
Reception Class Admissions
Children are admitted to the Reception Class in the September following their fourth birthday, and in accordance with the Admissions Policy set out by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. We have places for up to 60 children (2 classes, each up to 30 children).
Places are allocated in the following order of priority.
- Children in Public Care, also known as 'Looked after Children' in care of the local authority and children who have been adopted.
- Children who have an Educational Health Care Plan which names the school.
- Children who have brothers and sisters already on the school roll in the school.
- Children whose parent is a qualified teacher in the school.
- Children who live nearest to the school.
Years 1 – 6 Admissions
If vacancies arise, children will be admitted during the school year, with priority given as follows.
- Children who have brothers and sisters already on the school roll.
- Children who live nearest to the school.
Applications for admission to Bousfield must be made on the Royal Borough’s application form which is available online or from the school, public libraries and the Town Hall.
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Admissions
Parents have the right to appeal to the Education Department of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea if their child is refused a place at the school of their choice.
